New York - Nokia telah resmi memperkenalkan smartphone pertamanya yang menggunakan sistem operasi Windows Phone 8, yang diberi nama Lumia 920. Bagi CEO Nokia Stephen Elop, generasi terbaru dari keluarga Lumia ini sangat penting baru perjalanan perusahaanya.

"Kami sangat sangat serius memberikan sesuatu kepada konsumen device yang mudah digunakan dengan dukungan riset dari tim kami. Jelasnya kami sangat antusias dengan Lumia dan merupakan langkah yang sangat penting," kata Elop di New York, yang detikINET saksikan via streaming, Rabu (6/9/2012).

Sementara itu menurut Jo Harlow, Executive Vice President Nokia mengklaim, Lumia 920 adalah smartphone inovatif yang ada di pasar saat ini. Sebabnya ponsel ini menggabungkan sistem operasi terbaik,Windows Phone 8 dengan teknologi kamera PureView.

Ditambahkan olehnya, dengan teknologi PureView di Nokia Lumia 920 pengguna kini dapat mengambil gambar dan video dengan sangat apik. Apalagi didukung resolusi sebesar 8 megapixel.

"Menurut data IDC tahun lalu, 1 miliar lebih foto yang beredar di internet diambil dari ponsel. Dan sebagian besar diunggah ke media jejaring sosial. Lumia 920 siap menyambut tren tersebut dengan teknologi PureView yang sudah tidak diragukan lagi," tambahnya.

Lumia 920 ini juga didukung dengan teknologi PureMotion+ HD yang membuat bentang layar 4.5 inch di ponsel ini semakin terang dan tajam dengan layar sentuh yang memukau.

Walau ponsel multimedia yang memanjakan penggunanya, Lumia 920 diklaim mempunyai performa yang tak kalah kencang namun mengkonsumsi baterai yang tidak boros. Sebab ini dibenamkan dengan prosesor Snapdragon S4 dual core 1.5 Ghz.
